Case Priorities

While ERLS strives to help as many people in all areas of the law as we can, the below case types take priority:

Veterans and military families:

Resources for veterans to assist with medical care challenges, disability benefits, employment rights, consumer, public benefits, housing, family law matters, and obtaining legal counsel.

Family law:

Preference given to victims of ongoing significant domestic violence including physical, sexual, and economic abuse.

Housing law:

Preference given to disabled persons and children at risk of homelessness including admission to an eviction from public and subsidized housing; private landlord/tenant issues; and predatory lending.

Older Americans (age 60+ residents):

Living wills, bankruptcy, guardianships, public benefits, durable powers of attorney, and simple wills for people 60 years of age or older and people with significant medical issues.

Social Security disability claims.

If you have been denied Social Security/Disability, ERLS can assist you through the complicated administrative appeals process.
